What is the Export Market Development Grant?
The 'Export Market Development Grant', or EMDG, provides financial support for small and medium businesses (SMEs) that promote export markets overseas. It is designed to encourage businesses and individuals to promote Australian goods, services, knowledge, and tourism to support our trade reputation in the global market.
The EMDG program is administered by Austrade and provides access to generous Government grants in the way of reimbursements for eligible expenses. A wide range of export activities are supported, from goods and services to promoting inbound tourism.
If you or your business promotes an export market overseas and incurs expenses of at least $15,000 in a financial year, you could be eligible for a grant of up to $150,000.
